Hoda Shawky, MSN, CPNP, PMHS, IBCLC
Hoda Shawky is a pediatric nurse practitioner certified in lactation and primary care mental health and a maternal child health equity consultant. She received both her undergraduate degree and Masters of Science in Nursing from UCLA. Having worked in the safety net with children and families for over 15 years and raising two boys, she learned the central role that parental well-being plays on the ability of children to thrive.
Currently, Hoda consults with organizations working to bring equitable systems change around strengthening parent and child well-being through healthcare and early childhood systems. In 2022, she co-founded HERstory, Inc, a nonprofit organization aimed at creating a safe space for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) families living in Orange County, CA, to receive respectful, culturally affirming education and support in all aspects of pregnancy and parenting. During her free time, Hoda enjoys rejuvenating mind, body, and spirit in the California sunshine with her wonderful husband, boys, and dog, Atticus.
