The HER Internship Initiative was launched in the spring of 2019. The goals of the Initiative are three-fold:

• to broaden our social media strategy with fresh perspective and energy
• to strengthen our team with talented young people and their varied interests
• to give back to the community by offering learning opportunities (knowledge, skills, and attitudes)

Working with the University of Michigan LSA Opportunity Hub, we recruit undergraduates seeking work experience in the nonprofit and medical sectors. We create a personalized experience based on the interests of each intern. Our interns have conducted intensive reviews of medical literature, supported policy work, and co-created storytelling programs.
