Announcing the 2020 HER Virtual 5K Walk, Run, or Roll!

We’re thrilled to announce the 2020 HER Virtual 5K Walk, Run, or Roll! September 25 – October 5, we will be moving for our #tougHGirls and #tougHGuys. We know that it takes a village to get through an HG pregnancy, and while we can’t be together in person, we can still come together for some fun, fitness, and charity.

Participate in the 2020 Virtual Walk, Run, or Roll

Register for the event!

At least 3% of women will face Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) during a pregnancy resulting in nearly 400,000 ER and hospital visits. Many more women will get outpatient care. More than 75% of those women are likely to face HG in subsequent pregnancies. While we are getting closer to determining the causes, there is still no cure, only appropriate treatment to help ease symptoms.

100% of the proceeds of the Virtual 5K will be used to grow the seed money for our Light Easing Darkness (LED) Crisis Fund that will aid women in receiving the help and treatment they and their unborn child need. With this Fund, HER will help HG women in crisis by covering critical co-pays or medical costs up to $500. The LED Crisis Fund launches in October 2021, and 100% of your donations to the 5K will go directly to this important program.

Donate via Facebook for 0% processing fees.

Ticket prices include a virtual swag bag and digital race bib. An amazing swag bag with quality HER logo gear is available as well.

Thank you in advance for helping a mom get critical treatment and avoid the choice of suffering (and possible complications from untreated HG) or therapeutic termination of her pregnancy.

HG is hyperemesis gravidarum: a potentially life-threatening pregnancy disease that may cause malnutrition, dehydration, and debility due to severe nausea and vomiting, and may cause long-term health issues for mom and baby.
