Mission

Each year, millions around the world experience trauma, debility, and misery of severe nausea and vomiting of pregnancy (Hyperemesis Gravidarum or HG). We have empowered millions of people managing HG with information and support to minimize suffering, long-term health complications, and pregnancy loss. Our mission is to provide Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG) support, advocacy, education, and research to improve treatment and outcomes.

HER Foundation envisions a world where all pregnant patients have access to compassionate, effective, and safe care for nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, so patients and their children survive pregnancy and have a healthy future.

The HER Foundation is the global voice of HG and endeavors to achieve the following:

  1. Minimize suffering and complications via education and awareness.
  2. Eradicate morbidity and mortality due to inadequate/ineffective treatment.
  3. Improve outcomes through family support and advocacy.
  4. Promote standardized assessment and treatment to ensure consistent care.
  5. Raise awareness to increase support and access to effective care.
  6. Educate practitioners and caregivers on management and coping.
  7. Expand HG education and awareness among clinicians.
  8. Publish clinically relevant research to effect progress.
  9. Fundraise for research, awareness, and educational projects.
  10. Expand and validate tools for improved diagnosis and management globally.
