Take Two Crackers and Call Me in the Morning: A Real-Life Guide for Surviving Morning Sickness by Miriam Erick

Miriam Erick

Take Two Crackers and Call Me in the Morning! a real-life guide for surviving morning sickness by Miriam Erick is an e-book depicting the journey of three characters and their families through the misery-laden malady of pregnancy– nausea and vomiting. Miriam Erick is a registered dietitian/nutritionist with over 30 years of experience caring for morning sick/hyperemetic women in a major Boston teaching hospital. The book combines humor and clinical truths in a user-friendly resource. Guest appearances include the late Charlotte Bronte with her tale of woe. And Duchess Kate Middleton shows that “sisu” is the way to power through this problem.

Miriam Erick is a high-risk maternity dietician at a major Boston teaching hospital. She cared for and interviewed over 1000 women before writing her first book, No More Morning Sickness, 1993. Now, she combines more practical information with 29 illustrations for this special version of “morning sickness light.” Erick has been called the “nation’s leading expert on morning sickness” (LA Times, 10/93). Her work on morning sickness has been detailed in many publications. These include The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe Magazine, SHAPE, Parents’, Parenting, Good Housekeeping, LHJ, Boson Parents’ Paper USA Today, and countless others. Erick received the 1996 Ross Award for Women’s Health by Ross Products Division (of Abbott Laboratories) and The American Dietetic Association Foundation.
