Sarah Coffman, MSW, LCSW

For over 20 years, Sarah Coffman has dedicated herself to addressing issues of particular and unique importance to females. She’s the owner of Rite of Passage Psychotherapy, which focuses on helping women and adolescent girls survive life transitions, placing special emphasis on Perinatal Mood and Adjustment Disorders (PMAD), trauma, and struggles with health and wellbeing through empowerment work. 

She’s been active in the St. Louis community as a previous board member of Mother to Mother, a DONA certified doula, a NICU social worker, and provided perinatal psychosocial services as well as Reproductive Health Services. She is currently the Missouri co-coordinator for Postpartum Support International and has been teaching at Washington University for 10+ years. Much of her writing and research is focused on Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
