Dr. Emily Branham earned her PhD in Chemistry from Yale University, where she developed a passion for addressing complex health challenges through innovative research. As a survivor of hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) during her own pregnancy, she experienced firsthand the urgent need for better understanding, treatment, and awareness of this debilitating condition.

Dr. Branham is dedicated to advancing HG research, with particular interest in targeting the biological mechanisms underlying the disease to improve therapeutic options. She is actively working to bridge the gap between scientific discovery and patient care, with the ultimate goal of preventing and alleviating suffering for individuals affected by HG.

As a member of the HER Foundation Advisory Council, Dr. Branham brings a unique combination of scientific expertise and personal experience to help guide initiatives that support education, advocacy, and research.
