Today is World Preeclampsia Day.

Preeclampsia is a dangerous pregnancy complication marked by high blood pressure and signs of organ stress. And research shows that those with prolonged HG are twice as likely to develop preeclampsia and at nearly double the risk for eclamptic

seizures.

Why? Because HG isn’t “just nausea.” It’s a systemic, high-stress condition that can lead to malnutrition, dehydration, and inflammation which are all risk factors that strain the body long before blood pressure ever spikes.

Believing mothers means

  • better screening and early care for those with HG
  • connecting the dots between maternal conditions instead of treating them in isolation
  • fighting for healthier outcomes for moms and babies
