Pneumomediastinum

Air is present in the mediastinum (the space in the chest between the two lungs).

Classic Signs: Chest pain, difficulty breathing, malaise.

Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) is a severe form of the more common nausea of early pregnancy. We report an unusual case of pneumomediastinum and bilateral pneumothoraces presenting in the tenth week of pregnancy complicating HG.
