we are both doing so very well. little lottie had low blood sugar at first (probably prednisone withdrawal...), but that was resolved within just a few hours. other than that, it's been incredibly smooth sailing. she's a very obliging little bug. poop, eat, poop, eat, sleeeeeeeeep. repeat. my milk came in today, so no more cardboard formula smell. woohoo!
my labor started friday morning, may 17. i woke up with a few contractions that i knew were not BH, and then i passed some mucus and blood. things settled down for the day. i had contractions about 4x/hour from 9-10am, 1-2pm, and 4-6pm. my nausea definitely eased off-- thankfully, since i hadn't packed a hospital bag yet! my DH got home from work around 10pm and my mom came over to stay with the kiddos. by about midnight, that was definitely that and we headed to the hospital. i had only had a couple contractions 8 minutes apart, but i know not to wait. we got to the hospital and l i glared at the nurse who suggested triage, which was enough to get me into a room right away.

filled out forms, started IVs, got epidural right when i wanted one, rested, had baby at 7am. one little stitch, and one very welcome little early bird. and then, BREAKFAST. glory hallelujah.
