My little angel has arrived..

Postby Alwayshappy39 » Aug 13, 2012 3:57 pm

I was an absolute nervous wreck this morning. I arrived at the hospital at 9:00am. I was 3 cm dilated and doctor broke my water at 9:30. The epidural was placed at 10:00am and the pitocin was started at 10:30am. I was fully dilated at 12:00 and the doctor arrived at 12:17. I pushed for 6 minutes and she was born at 12:23. The epidural was great. It didn't completely numb my legs which was wonderful. Her name is Peyton Olivia Smith and she is 6lbs and 14 oz and 19 inches long. My nausea is much better and my spit towels have officially been retired! Thank u everyone for helping me thru this crazy adventure. I will never forget u all

Yay! Congratulations! I've been waiting for this post!!! It's all over! Peyton is a beautiful name, and I'm so glad that everything went so quickly for you! That is one fast labour and delivery (jealous). Hopefully the rest of the nausea isn't too debilitating as it wears off. Around 2 weeks pp, the nausea improved quite a bit for me, but the odd thing still makes me nauseated/refluxy about once a day (but nothing I can't handle, especially with Zantac!). I hope your little one is a happy baby and makes your recovery smooth! Thanks for all your support too :D I'm glad you've reached the end!
