updating Kaylee is here...sorry disappeared

Postby janiecw » Apr 08, 2011 10:30 pm

I'm sorry I disappeared for awhile I just couldn't be on here for awhile. I was so sick on the TPN and IV meds til about 22 weeks I was finally able to go back to work. I was still on oral meds through the end of the pregnancy. I stopped coming on here because while I was sick when I would have a good day just logging in would bring on a feeling of panic and I would feel more nauseated. So I just started avoiding this site. I hope everyone can understand why I had to to take a break.

I was scheduled to have a csection on March 24 however I started having contractions around 9pm on the 21st I went to the hospital but was sent home because I wasnt dilated. The contractions lasted through the next day and around 11pm on the 22nd the contractions were very painful and about 5 min apart so I went back to the hospital and was dilated at a 1 so my doctor decided to go ahead with the c section at 2:51 am I gave birth to Kaylee Lorene via c section she was 6l 10oz and 18.5 inches long. I also had a tubal ligaion. Although I have some mixed feelings about that, I know it was the right decision. I can't gp through HG again. I am truly blessed with my 3 kids and she is such a good baby. When they brought her to me in the recovery room they put her skin to skin and she crawled over to my breast and latched on and began to nurse. She actually enjoys breastfeeding whereas my other 2 never wanted to . she does have reflux and some colic but other than that she is very healthy. At her 1 week check up she was up to 7lb 3oz and 19.5 inches. I feel so lucky to have her although I have had some depressed mood but I know some of that can be normal. I am mostly depressed about having to go back to work in a couple months I am not looking forward to that. especially with her being my last I just want to be with her all the time.
I'm sorry again for dropping off the earth. Hope everyone is doing well.

Don't worry about avoiding these forums. No one will ever think ill of you because of that. We all know these forums can be as triggering as a food smell to us after HG!

Congrats on such a beautiful baby and being HG-free! Good luck with going back to work. Don't forget, if you need it, there is the anxiety and depression before and AFTER HG folder that can help you. Hope your baby doesn't grow up too fast!
1st pg = HG 8 weeks to c-section delivery due to breech presentation--D&C at 4 months PP for retained placenta
2nd pg = HG from 6 weeks up to 7 months--scheduled c-section
