little girl is finally here!

Postby january » Jan 02, 2011 12:12 am

Started induction on Tuesday night with some cervadil that they left on my cervix overnight. Honestly I was scared not knowing what to fully expext but didn't want to live another day with hg. Was at 1cm

Wed morning they started pitocin and broke my water at 7amish. Had a iv and a few doses of some sort of medicine that made me loopy but only lasted minutes.
BRING ON THE EPIDURAL! This was around 12pm

I was at 4cm when the epidural (after 4 stabs) finally went in. So glad I got it. My husband and mil went down to cafeteria and I jumped within minutes from 4 to 7cm. I felt her head descending and knew it was goin to come quick. I told my nurse (who I LOVED) like she was going to come out. She checked me at 230pm and sure enough her head was right there.

My husband and mil came back up and saw everything prepped and were shocked. I kept telling the nurse I was going to push and she said "no, no just wait your doc is on the way" I did wait but felt like forever. Thankfully his office was right across the street from the hospital.

He came prepped himeslf and I started pushing at 235pm, 3 pushes and 5 minutes later out popped hg and my baby girl! I could literally feel her legs coming out and feeling instantly better!

Sheesh what a great relief...a baby and hg free!

So thankful that I'm done and made it through. It did honestly feel like forever and sucked but as I lay on the couch feeling like my vagina is on fire and the heating pad on my back from all the epidural misses, I look down at my little girl just greatful she is here.

So glad this website with such REAL women that get it. Even my postpartum nurse had hg and KNEW exactly what I felt.

It just feels so wonderful, doesn't it?!!!

And I know how you feel about the epi pokes. I think my back hurt worse than my vagina! (They poked me about 20 times.)
